Alright. This is the first time 2NE1 visited Philippines of course except Sandara Park who made her career first in Philippines as an actress.
Here's how the presscon went... Dara said that they don't have secrets to tell in response to the 1st question, because blackjacks knew already and because they are very transparent since they have 2NE1 TV. Even at the beginning ,after their introduction, they made us laugh. CL suddenly interrupts when she noticed that Dara is uncomfortable to her seat and said they will just adjust the seat because Dara's little too high.
Then after that, media are laying their questions one by one. When asked who from other male idol groups they like, Dara answered immediately (in Tagalog), " Favorite boy group ko ano.. MBLAQ?" (My favorite boy group would be... MBLAQ?). And mentioned her brother. She added that we already know why, everyone bursts in laughter.
While, Bom's is Big Bang, CL's is 1TYM and Minzy's is Se7En. About the Filipino fans, CL stated in pure English that she haven't met their Filipino fans yet but she thinks that they are fun and great especially the warm welcome they received at the airport and she assures everyone that they will have fun tonight at the concert. They also shares how they contribute in their albums and songs. CL answered in English that they all give ideas even their stylists and support each other.
Dara is being cheeky throughout the presscon. When asked what will she say about Filipino singer Christian Baustista's worry of being booed, she stated that there's no need to worry. She likes him and even call him "Papa Christian" (Papa here is an expression. saying it in flirty but funny way) and even sing a line from his song (The Way You Look at Me).
Here also, Minzy was asked about her being in line with the best kpop idol dancer in the recent poll and questioned who's male idol she wants to dance/showdown with aside from YG's artists. She said "Taeyang". She explained that she can't think of any because she confessed that they are not exposed to other idol groups. They don't have time to mingle with others or have bonding moments with them bec they keep on rehearsing for their album promotions.
Dara shared that she misses Philippine foods like Sinigang, Pinakbet and Sisig. She said that at first, she's nervous that her fans in Philippines will forget her the time she moved to Korea and everyone said "NO!" Bom and CL expressed their excitement to be here in Philippines because Dara tells a lot about the country. They also said they already tasted some of Filipino foods because Dara's fans from Philippines send her foods in their dorm.
Before the presscon ended, Bom and Dara said "Mahal ko kayo" (I love you). Dara even sing a bit of her song In or Out (her 1st single when she's still here in Phil as an actress). Even the 3 girls amused with her.
For their messages, CL said she wants to come back not just to perform but to visit and have a tour here in Phil. Minzy and Bom said they want to visit Phil again. They like the foods and places Dara often told them. Dara said that she really misses her Filipino fans and it's always her dream to come back here to perform with 2ne1.
To conclude, the whole event is entertaining and the girls responded with enthusiasm. They are so nice and very charming yet cool. We really hope to see them again.
